I'm buying a much cheaper car than Mark! Wanna help?

Following on from Mark's 80k to spend thread, I'm looking to buy a car soon with 9k to spend, including VRT if I import. Now I am pro German, ridiculously pro Audi and am really keen on a B6 A4 TDI, quattro if I can find one.

However, if someone suggests something else that I really really like I may just sway, so what would you boardsies do with ALL that money??

After all the talk of the RS2 in the "sleeper" thread it looks good to me, there's an auto one in the north IIRC 8k or thereabouts, LHD unfortunatley. But you like Audi's so its all good. Prob be quicker than Marks off the line too! (maybe not with the autobox

)

If you up your budget a tiny bit you'd probably land an S2000

It doesn't matter what we suggest so, any A4 fan on boards won't be swayed by anyone unless it's to another Audi.

I've never heard of an Audi 80 RS2 auto - do you have a link?

I was looking at an Audi 80 2.3 Coupe last year alright but never actually bought one, I'd say the RS2 would be very hard to insure for me, 23 full licence but quinn still ride me. Also it's an estate and I wouldn't want one, maybe an S2 Coupe if I could insure it.

I'm not necessarily dead set on an A4, I don't find them boring I love them and a remapped TDI is very quick. However I haven't really looked at much else and I probably wouldn't either unless they were shown to me, hence the point of this thread, just to keep my options open.

I could up my budget alright but 9k is probably the most I should spend.

My mistake, it's manual apparently, was 99% sure it said automatic in the spec list. Here's the ad, sold now though.

I know they were quick from 0-30, but that thing goes from 0 to about 140 in a few seconds!! I think it's over 550bhp. See Unkel's link.

I came across a clip of his speedo doing 0-260km/h in absolutely no time. I'd say the only production car ever that can top his modified RS2 is a Veyron

Edit: looks like it is about 700BHP. He did a quarter mile in 11s, which is very impressive. A Veyron is less than a second quicker
