is it sad/uncool to do online dating...

I don't think it is. As a 23 yr old I wouldn't go around telling everyone I use it but i wouldnt be ashamed of it either. I mentioned earlier that the internet is playing an increasing role in our lifes so it's just another way of meeting people. Look at the size of facebook/bebo/myspace, I know they are not dating sites but I have certainly met girls by using them social network sites. In my opinion social network sites are pretty much the same as dating sites (provided the dating site is free e.g. plentyoffish.com) so it can't be sad to use them.

Hopefully the site will be back up. It's just a matter of patience, really.

bebo and myspace might be alright but Facebook is completely worthless for meeting new peeps. First you need to be their friend to look at their profile, this is a pain in the arse because i used to use the profile to decide if the chick was worth messaging or not. and the chicks on facebook are the most paranoid out there and almost completely unwilling to talk to anyone they don't aready know.

*I used hacked accounts to find this out, so its not just because i'm an ugly bastard

I say alot more people hook up online nowadays than they did about 5 years ago. No denying that the internet is playing a much bigger role in out lives now.

i think the important question is:

how much wouldi have to drink to make her socialable let alone rideable ?

Look, don't knock what us boardsies do.

I know its cool to say we don't do it, so it leaves the ground open!

Knock all the other Boardsies so less competition.

Mad Men's Don Draper : What you call love was invented by guys like me, to sell nylons.

Sure. I was going to delete it but at least this way someone might get a bit of use out of it. I really dont care what happens to it tbh

I think this is the problem - you don't seem to care.

You never answered whether it was legal or not to hack into accounts as I don't know (I am guessing it isn't legal?)

most employers keep a tabs on your facebook so be careful of the info put on it, as if you pull a sickie and he sees the evidence of your night out...

i don't know either. but i never heard of anyone getting into trouble with the law over it. not over here anyway

things would be worse if i actually *cared* about my facebook account.

before i had a whole stack of hacked facebook accounts but i deleted the file with the logins so i wouldn't be tempted to go ****ing around with the e-lives of innocent teenage girlies anymore. not because i might get in trouble but because it was a huge waste of time, and rather depressing because it gives insight to how society is rotten to the core and how two-faced most people actually are. i'd also say facebook attracts some real sly, snobby and deceitful characters more than other sites would

sure. nobody is perfect although i have good intentions. it is more for those who are into the whole gossip scene. the ones who have loads of 'friends' and spend a lot of time on there are usually not very nice.really

you are better off without a facebook account. that site is pants

OP tell your friend to strip down to some sexy underwear then burn her house down. A fireman might take pity on her.

Ok I'd have thought it a bit odd but in fairness they've built up some sort of friendship. She's not a bunny boiler, she is really lovely but I think has had her fill of local lads and wanted something different. Thanks for all the help

Does her dating profile have a photo of a battered BMX??

Some people actully use facebook to chat /gosip /keep in touch with their 'real ' friends and it's through invatation they are asked if they wish to make friends with somebody else .You do have the option of privacy were only your friends see your profile, pictures and information .
