Has anyone noticed the youth of today from like 12 upwards are getting more and more vicious when it comes to attacks and assaults on others.
The 16 year old who shot the bloke in east wall, 17 & 18 year olds stabbing each other for fun, 12 & 13 year olds battering each other in the school yard and putting it on youtube, A fifteen year old from near my house battered a chinese delivery man with a hammer when he was out delivering food, making a living

I mean you'd nearly wanna be carrying a weapon with ya these days around the city, I don't know how people feel safe any more, every day I pick up a paper I see somethng in Dublin or any where in the country that just shocks me.

    Anywat rant over.

    Thoughts ?

... the little pr!cks aren't afraid to go home and admit to their parents what they've been getting up to.

    Lack of discipline really

Kids are retards, no inkling of right or wrong.

Nothing a good hammer across the face wouldnt fix.

If someone comes at you with a hammer like the OP's said, fair game. A walloping is in order. Honestly, what else could you do if there were no guards nearby? Ask them nicely? There are some right wee scumbags going around today, no question.

I never had any real problems with a little boxing match... although when it's 5 on 1 or weapons are involved, then it's a totaly differant matter. This didn't happen 10 or 12 years ago when we were kids. You would hear of isolated insodents, but nothing major. Maybe it did happen but we just didn't hear about it as much? I dunno... It's bad either way. I am worried that children don't know the real consiquences of their crimes...

Its the lack of violence in the home thats cause the violence in the streets. None of that in my day. A wet week in Lough Derg with a giant set of Rosary beads across the arse would put manners on them. Apart from the way I stab at the nuns it never did my mother any harm.

I blame the parents, they couldn't give a toss. In my day, we were made walk to school barefoot and like it. We wore grey shorts and a white shirt...*Grampa Simpson ramble*

We had no tae. The Brits ate the lot. Father had to pole dance for bread at the Consumptive Brothers monastery for food. Twas with a weary sigh he'd clip on his tassles and stuff his codpiece in his pocket, before the 40 mile uphill cycle there, to dance all night and then cycle another 40 miles uphill home...for there was no downhills in them times...only up.

The Drugs he started....running along, scooping up lines, popping pills....it was the Mrs Pacman that had the women on the pill, which is why the orphanages emptied and we had to get the chinese in. Tis true.
