    Hi there,

Has anyone come across this, as i normally use Nero Express for adding files to a data dvd.

But this time it doesnt recognise the dvd-as when you click on Data Dvd you recognises the dvd & adds/updates the collection on the dvd to be added, but instead it just reads My Disc & it wont recognise the drive as it only has the image recorder ticked as its shaded in grey.

    Any ideas?

Btw: i'm using Nero 7 Ultra Edition.

Are you sure its pointing to the right drive?.

How many drives have you installed on your PC?.

Has it worked before for you with Nero 7?.

Do you have any drive emulators such as Daemon tools installed on your PC?.

Did you check Windows device manager to see if the drive is installed as a DVD writer?.

Did you check to see if your drive is supported by Nero 7?.

To help narrow down the problem, have you tried also an alternative burner software application to see will that work instead?

There are free ones out there that will help narrow the problem to software or hardware!
    Example: http://www.burn4free.com/

You know i was half-way of answering your questions, til i realised something from another post i had made about User Accounts+shifting MyDocs to another account & realised the problem...(yada, yada, yada.)

Since i'm new to these type of problems, it took a while to remedy it, so i set about burning the data dvd, it was going so well upto 90% & then...! the feckin thing froze on me!!
Ah i left it, as it was late & was away today & only getting back to it now.

    Thanks for the help anyway

Thanks for that as i'll bookmark it for future use, as i found out what the cause of the problem was.
