I'm not sure, however, that JammyDodger qualifies as a Christian.

In what sense do you mean that you're not sure that I qualify as a Christian? Perhaps as I don't believe in God or Jesus or any other Christian teaching?

That's like arguing for something to be perfectly white it should also be a perfectly black.

Yes that's true I guess. I suppose perfection isn't excluded from contradiction!

Yes, that would mean you don't qualify in most people's eyes. Unless, of course, you murder 6 million Jews in which case atheists will insist that you must have been a Christian because you were raised as a Catholic.

That's ok then. I'm glad that I don't qualify, thanks.

Where, oh where, did the issue of Hitlers faith (or lack of, perhaps) come into this? As I don't think I've murdered 6 million Jews, and I can't think of anyone else who has, so it must be Hitler that you're talking about.

I certainly hope you haven't! In fairness to PDN, this type of argument crops up here the odd time.

    Well, at least I don't think I have!:pac:

Yah, I've no doubt that it does. I personally think it's a pointless argument anyway, if Hitler was Christian (and I'm not saying that He was; there's too much evidence on either side for me to call) then what would that say about Christianity? Nothing. As long as His actions weren't motivated by Christianity (which I don't believe they were) then it's a pointless argument. Likewise, if He was an atheist, and His actions weren't motivated my atheism, then it's, again, pointless bringing it up. I suppose it's just used by people in an attempt to tarnish the name of Christianity (or in some cases atheism); which is just pathetic.
