Why did I start down this road???

    I have a Toshiba Equiuim A100 laptop running Windows XP and I love it. It had Avg 8.0 and Spybot loaded.

    I recently loaded Safespace Sandbox and Avira Anti-virus.I noticed that Norton was popping up even though I hadn't loaded it, so I removed it using a Norton Removel Tool.

    Since these modifications, opening Firefox was very slow. Then I couldn't open it at all so I removed it and re-loaded it. It's working now.

    I since removed Spybot because it just seems to be showing the same errors over & over. So after these alterations, my machine/browsing is running slower than ever.

    A classic case of not leaving well enough alone!!!

    Any solutions to my self-inflicted injury??? All advice appreciated.
