not 100% on this but as far as i can remember the europian wii is a "PAL" format and the US wii is "NTSC" ... since each different operating system is incompatible with the other i dont think it will work .. the board itself is also in the same format as the operating system .. ( format in which board transfers data to the wii console )

Some one more in the know might be able to say for sure but i doubt it will work :(

The game would work same as any other American game will work on your American console but you cant buy the board seperately from the game.

They might have a balance board on www.dealextreme.com but check that it would be compatible and it won't be a nintendo one.

If you have the american disc of wii fit, it will work in your american Wii, the balance board itself is like a giant wiimote and therefore regionfree.

You can buy wiimotes, nunchuks and balance board from anywhere in the world and they will work with any wii, they sync with your wii whatever region or language.

Would strongly recommend getting board, controllers etc from UK (while euro is still reasonable against pound) or the US.

NTSC or Pal is to do with how the wii displays on your TV, not how it communicates with its peripherals.
