What have you found when cleaning?

Just taking a break from cleaning my room (it needed it, sooooo badly), and along with some treasured items, such as a letter from my now-dead granny, there was a load of junk.

The lotto tickets from 2007 were slightly embarrassing.

The UCD Ball leaflet from 2005 was a bit awkward.

The 7% Kopperburg mixed fruits (still unopened) was a little weird, as was the bottle of pina-colada from 2005.

The Euro-punt cardboard converter was just retro cool - or so I tell myself.

    But:
The vouchers for bookstores and the vouchers for Golden Discs were the worst.

    They were in pounds.

    That's right = £'s

It left me thinking two thoughts:

    1. I really need to clean out my room more frequently

    2. Would shops honour the vouchers?

I once found a letter which an old flame wrote to me. Oh, I miss her.

    That and a sock.

I found a new passion for life while cleaning.

Unfortunately one of my cats had urinated on it so I just threw it out. :(

While in college, my room wasn't *that* messy, but I'd always have clothes on the floor.
One day, I got an odd smell, and thought it was the socks... so put them out and opened the windows.
Next day - smell still there. wtf? Thought it might be the lamp shade holder - sometimes that stinks. Changed that, but still odd stinky smell.
Following weekend, and no joy knowing what the smell was... I cleaned my room, and lifted all the clothes off my floor.
Upon lifting a hoodie up, I found a perfectly dried turd on it. Turns out, my cat had come into my bedroom and left me a 'present'.. and it took me probably over a week to find it!
I kept my room spotless after that...

Last year during a spring clean I came across a very old disposable camera which I had forgotten to get developed. I brought it to the chemist and got the pics developed, they were of a trip I did in the Caribbean with a couple of mates a few years earlier. One photo stood out in particular as I'd totally forgotten even taking it until I saw the full set together. It was my mates response to the French signs on the island of Guadeloupe forbidding nude sunbathing.

Are you going to explain why your mate has red marks on his bottom? Did YOU inflict those marks?

Im a bleach freak at the best of times so yeah.

Couple of years old perhaps, sweaty from foot use and crusty from repeated reaching under the bed.."sure this will do" .... oh God .. yeah. That bad. . Bet it stood up all by itself and almost walked out :D

While cleaning under the bed, I found the emply box from a pair of tights - you know the ones with the virtually naked women on them, except for long legs and tights....It was my sons room I was cleaning...AGE 6....

I had a bag that I kept all my odd-socks in when the other ones went missing. I got so annoyed that I threw away the bag. So now I'm moving out and cleaning my room and have pretty much found every sock that had been missing.

    Damn

If he bought them to look at the woman no, if he bought them to wear the tights then yes.
