Well, not KITT exactly, but a black 1987 Pontiac Trans-Am. Though they seem to have taken off the screaming chicken. I guess it makes a bit of sense: American cars always were designed to go fast in a straight line with a big engine.

The stats are ludicrous. 0-60 in 2.2 seconds. 8.9l V8 throwing out 1,407hp. (How it gets that through the tyres is beyond me). Top speed so far, certified, at 407.1km/h, 252mp/h, the same as a Veyron, but independently verified, unlike the Veyron. Of course, it has 400 more horse, but the aerodynamic qualities of a brick cancel it out. They say it should hit 435km/h, but they ran out of track. They're taking it to the US where there's a bit more space. The record to beat is a Shelby at 412km/h.

I wonder how it is in traffic?
