Anyone else experience the disk read error on smash bros brawl? I read online that it affects a small percentage of wii's (especially the early models - I got mine launch day). The wii lens simply cannot read the dual layer disk (smash bros is the first wii game to utilise dual layer dvd). What a bummer on christmas day!

Anyone else have this problem, if so what did you do?

Cool, thanks for the reply guys. I managed to get around the problem in a way, backed up the game onto a regular dvd and ripped out the movies and loaded with backup loader gamma. Works!

while you're waiting for the lens cleaner to get released in the PAL zone, you could install the Homebrew channel, DVDx and Mplayer, then use that to play a DVD lens cleaner. Works for me (although my read errors are not on Smash Bros, I don't have it - but I get them all the time on Bully, No More Heroes and both Guitar Heroeses.)
