Ive started it so have got a few but probably wont have time to play around with it much before the Christmas holidays start.
On a slightly different but related topic, I posted a thrda here some time ago about these cross word puzzles in the RTE Guide, I love them. I find most other cross words either too hard (Eg Irish Times Crosaire) or too easy (eg Irish Times Simplex). I would love to get more of these, if there was a book of them I would be thrilled. Does anybody know anything about these puzzles, where to get more of them, other than buying the RTE GUide every week?
(I buy it, but only for this crossword, the rest of is a crap mag Im afraid...)

For 37 Down it appears in my copy of the RTEG as

    ??TI?W (6,6)

I have most of the letters and think i have an answer, but the only way i can see it fitting with the clue is if the clue above is a mis-print and there were supposed to be other letters where the question marks are?? i.e. RETIRW (6,6)

no the answer is "MIRROR WRITER". The clue is WRITER backwards or what it would look like in a mirror.

Thats what i was saying. but in my rteg the clue appeared as:

    37. ??TI?W (6,6)

it obviously didnt print right in my copy, and those question marks didnt really help with trying to solve the clue

Ah now I understand you. But I had those question marks too.

I've sent mine away but from memory I think 26 is Ascends.

The rest are Snow Athy Wader (I think your L is wrong) and Peace
