just wondering is there any boardies out there that smoke but only the odd time like myself,the only time i smoke is when i go out for a pint,if i didn't go out for another two weeks i wouldn't touch a smoke in between !

Not a personal attack on you but I have always thought that people who smoke irregularly are the most idiotics spastics ever. I can understand and addiction that draws you to smoke but smoking occasionally is just retarded

I used to get smokes off people, i never thought much of this until a friend pointed it out...

I never did it on purpose, now i know and i always carry my own smokes(never a lighter though) and i give anyone and everyone who asks

I've come across a fair few full time smokers who do the same. Spend all night going from group to group bumming smokes.

The same sort that steal drinks on a night out.

On topic though, I don't see what's wrong with social smoking - there are many like you.

My boss does it all the time, passes by my office on the way out for a smoke and happens to have forgotten his half the time..:mad:
It's got to the point that I normally keep a box with only one or two in it on the desk.

This satement seems to me to be a product of that anti-smoking primary school propoganda, it is a fair breach of logic to assume that people only smoke 'to be cool', or because they are addicted.

Like most other drugs, cigarettes have an affect, that's why many people smoke.

Yea I do, I enjoy a smoke but I am not addicted. Never have cravens for them etc etc. It's normally assosiated with drinking. Some nights I won't smoke when I drink though.

q2002, not everyone smokes because they have to, some enjoy it... believe it or not.

I have a few when I'm drinking (buy my own). Not much beats a pint and a smoke. I couldn't stand them without any booze now though (ex full-time smoker).

I've been doing it for years and years. In fact, the older I get, the less I smoke. Tomorrow I'll buy 20 fags and smoke just some of them when I go out... then I won't touch them again til I go out next. If that's New Year's Eve, so be it. I cannot smoke sober any more.
