Didnt get around to that yet, wouldnt fire, twas a little cold for more investigations, engine is free though.Might have a go the weekend.

Knowing Japanese cars, it's probably only a formality to get her running after a mere 8 years laid up!

Kinda weird that Isuzu don't make (or rebadge) any passenger vehicles now - all that's left is the D-Max pickup and their trucks and buses.

It's a crying shame that the Trooper was never replaced. The 3.0 litre Trooper is still one of the best-looking and comfy jeeps around: I know people who changed them for the current-model LandCruiser, but still yearn for a new (but more reliable)Trooper. The Caterpillar-sourced engine can be troublesome (believe me, I know all about it!) but was powerful and quiet, if not the best on fuel. Had they updated the Trooper and fitted a proper Isuzu engine, they'd have a winner on their hands.

On the cars, there was a garage in Abbeyfeale which sold a few Isuzus back around 1989. Until the late 90's you'd still see an odd Gemini or Aska knocking around the place, usually a diesel with black smoke pouring out the back!

I was thinking it looked a bit like a 'Continental' version alright but it just seemed a bit on the small side.

Its a Corniche convertible - otherwise known as the Silver Shadow Mulliner Park Ward two door drop head coupe (according to Wikipedia...)

Some expensive cars just lying there.

This weather wont do them any good at all, especially that drop top Roller, a Corniche BTW. That hood would cost about €12k to replace, and the 911 looks like its paint is going flat.

Saw this today outside a house in Bray.

    3128274572_8a70f8f12c_o.jpg

If anyone would like to track it down, the house is called Westwings and is on Church Road. They have an application in to demolish the house and build two 4-storey apartment blocks; but I wouldn't hold my breath on that in the current climate.

I have a feeling there is a panel beater / vehicle restorer there. I wonder was it a while since that photo was taken as here is a link to a recently fully restored corniche.
