Proving Emissions - RS Turbo S2 - VRT Rate

    Hi

    Anyone know where i can get a certified Emissions test in the uk?

    service centre? MOT? any other specialized centres?


    I want to bring in an 86-90 Ford Escort RS Turbo S2 ( white of course) pretty soon considering the exchange rates

    ROS online was no help so I rang today but the girl i was dealing was younger then me (19- found out thru sweet talking/attempt to get best price) she didn't really know how I could definitely prove emissions when it comes to calculating VRT

    The good thing is at the very most I'll only pay around €700 - but i don't want to get stuck with ridiculous road tax over the €400 mark


    Also - if I get one originally registered prior to Jan 1989 - will the whole Classic thing take effect? ( lower insurance / road tax)

    -No idea where you'll get the CO2 data for the VRT
    -Motor tax is CC based so you'll be paying ~570 a year
    -Classic tax is over 30 years old, classic Insurance is 20 years old assuming you're over 25
