People you've met from boards..

    Have they been like the picture you'd built up in your minds eye?.

    I haven't met too many, but here's a few...

    Star Pants, she was as lovely as here. Smaller then I thought she would be, she's cute too.


    I met Dragan before I knew him from boards (I think). Cool guy, but I was drinking and screaming at some fights in the Ringside Club (National Boxing Stadium) so most of my memory of meeting is a little clouded in the misty of Carlsberg.

    I've met Trout a few times, a really nice guy and very like his charactor here.

    And to the few people who think they've met me in The Mercantile pub, THAT AIN'T ME!.

    I know one or two people from 'real' life. But haven't met anyone else, probably won't.

    I'm sure you're all lovely though.

    I've met Sea Devils becuase of college. In fact as I type this he's sitting in the row of computers ahead of me.

    I havnt met any boardsies (yet) but for those wondering, yes I do look exactly like you've pictured me



    EDIT: Actually I have a few friends that are on here (Jazzy,Wazdakka,Cunning Alias) but I knew them before so that doesnt count

    I've met biko, Karl Hungus, Tar Aldarion (sp?), ethernet, TristanC, po0k, JIZZLORD, RedHairedGuy, and numerous other Galway boardsies. Nice guys :) Not to mention members that I know/knew from outside of boards.

    Met a few of the BGRH crew and they are sound. As are g'em, kaimera, Fajitas, CuLT, Vexorg and a whole lot more.

    Oh yeah, I met him too. It was a few years ago, and I don't exactly remember the circumstances but I definately met him.

    I haven't met any other posters here (unless Adverts counts) that I didn't already know.

    I did overhear someone talking about Breslin and Cloud at a test screening for a film in CineWorld on Parnell St., Dublin a couple of months ago but I didn't say hello. It's really annoying me now to know who it was.

    No way I could even begin to list all those I've met. The ones I've met most frequently are the BGRH crew, best bunch of people you could ever hope to meet. Met plenty of others at Boards and Mods beers. Most people are exactly what I expected, but a few aren't, which always makes it even more interesting to meet them.

    I've met tonnes of boardsies, most of them sound. A few bad eggs like everywhere though.

    A few people surprised me, looked differently than I pictured or were very nice compared to their "boards persona". :)

    I think most people IRL are similar enough to their boards personalities but I only figured that out in hindsight :) I don't have preconceptions of what most of you geeks would be like IRL. Except for you Mairt, I've seen your KYN pictures. And my preconception is "holy sh*t, better not disagree with that guy" :pac:

    I've never met anyone from Boards (that I know of)... apart from a few Phantom FM heads (that station's messageboard is hosted by Boards) and that was in an entirely Boards-unrelated setting...
