    I know plenty of people who have been on both. I find a lot of thumped people are musos and just like to latch onto the 'boards is ****e' mantra without ever really knowing why. Thumped is music based really and I know and hang out with a good few people off it - would head off to festivals and the like with them but really the boards vs thumped thing is only real online. In reality nobody gives a sh*te, if they do, well that's their problem. And I mean that on both sides of the fence.

    As has been pointed out by Thaed, there are a few boards that have threads relating to boards.ie. Many people don't like it, I think the main reason is due to the stricter modding, but as boards has grown more than all the sites I've seen complaining about boards, I think that's a good thing.

    The amount of people we have banned makes it a no-brainer to understand that there are a lot of people out there that really don't like the site.

    Thumped is an indie music forum for music snobs, and snobs of the highest order. they are so up their own holes over there that they are literally able to brush their teeth from the rear. the bands they discuss have literally 5 fans, thats how underground and ****e those bands are, and if they get a 6th fan well, they're not so cool anymore.

    I went on there a few years ago when i was part of the dublin music scene and i didnt recognise one single band they were discussing. not one. and i worked in the industry. so i quickly surmised that they had zero credibilty and deleted it from my bookmarks list. nice to see they havent changed much.

    It all just seems a bit childish to me.


    In fairness 43 pages of chat about boards is a funny, no such thing as bad publicity :D and the fact that they have to look to us to find something good to talk about is pretty sad.
