Thumped "boards is crap" thread/people who don't get Boards

OK probably been mentioned before but just saw this thread on Thumped- http://www.thumped.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=48620

Just reading it there and all i can think of is Vince Vaughn's rival news crew in Anchor Man.
A mixture of juvenile resentment, with everyone reassuring eachother how sh!t boards is, but a definite envy(?)/curiosity about Boards at the same time.

I know people who call Boards users anal- i never really understand this hatred tbh-
if nothing it's a useful website- and can be damn funny sometimes.

Anyone else know people who hate Boards- what's that about?

I know a few folk that are afraid of boards.
Not understanding what they actually are, they have been led to believe that its all a bunch of weirdo's (Ok, thats me!) but its just lack of knowledge really.

I'd be lost without a number of boards. They have helped me out in so many, many ways.
Stress relief, technical help, helping me to stay sane, etc...

If you don't mind me saying, that's a rather arrogant assumption to make. It might surprise a lot of people on here, but there are loads of people simply who don't like the boards.ie experience. It's not really a question of envy, more a question of individual preference.

Some people don't like the way boards is organised.

Some people don't like the moderation.

Some people believe discussion is stifled by forum charters and rules and what not.

That's just the way sh1t is, what works for boards won't always work for other boards.

While it's childish for anyone to take the piss out of this site elsewhere, reactions like this:

This is very true, I showed a few friends of mine Boards and every single one of them thought it was absolutely shite. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
