Yeah I was wondering about this earlier, seeing as I don't have a penis I couldn't really comment, but would the guy be in too much pain to be able to attack the girl? (not asking uou directly cos I know you're a girl!)

Also earlier on when I said about innocent guys discovering it during foreplay, it's possible that if these anti-rape devices become commonly used then attackers will feel for them first with their fingers, then remove them and rape the girl anyway, possibly throwing in a beating too.

It's more justifiable. And I didn't know that but thankyou for informing me. Oh. You were being patronising. Fantastic technique. Far better than actual argument.

The fact is, that biologically, a woman is far more different to me than a black man. It would be a far better idea for me to make a generalisation about gender than race.

Again, this is all generalisations so I don't take much stock in them but yes, I think misogyny is far more understandable than racism. Neither are particularly useful in determining a person's worth though.

Thank you MooseJam. This is my point exactly. Why does racism lead to an instant ban and not misogyny? Such 'dark humour' (talk about condescending; where's the funny bit exactly?) normalises violent and disrespectful attitudes to women in real life.

Furthermore, it creates a threatening and hateful atmosphere to those women who use boards, and AH in particular. If as someone said AH is not 'here to cater to my sensibilities' then why be hypocritical and cater to a black person's feelings? All or nothing is what it should be.

I'd like an answer from someone (mods perhaps?) about the sexism/racism double standard: why is one acceptable on boards (one articulated in particularly vicious and graphic manner) and the other not?
