So we are less than 2 weeks away from the start of the biggest Darts tournament in the world and I am starting to get very excited
The draw for the Preliminary round has already been made. It includes our very own Shane O' Connor and Anastasia Dobromyslova. The draw is as follows:
Hannes Schnier (Austria) v Shi Yongsheng (China)
David Fatum (USA) v Shane O'Connor (Ireland)
Warren French (New Zealand) v Akihiro Nagakawa (Japan)
Marko Kantele (Finland) v Lourence Ilagan (Philippines)
Charles Losper (South Africa) v Sudesh Fitzgerald (Guyana)
Remco van Eijden (Holland) v Anastasia Dobromyslova (Russia)
Lets hope that Shane can beat the American guy and make the first round proper.
The draw for the first round matches is live today at 2:30pm on Sky Sports News Should be interesting to see who the big boys get and if there are any chances of shocks.0

Yeah very disappointed neither of these made it, Mick was top seed in the qualifiers as well but lost in the third round. He really has been going through a bad patch on TV, hopefully he can find the form next year that we all know he can show.
At least we have three players to get behind!

Hey all,
going to Ally Pally this year for 3 days after xmas, just wondering from those of you who have been last year, what's the venue like for food and drinks facilities etc
Food is grand, usual thing of burgers and chips etc. Nice and isn't too expensive. Beer is pretty reasonable too but the queues can be pretty long, especially if you go out at the end of a set. Make sure to buy 3 beers at a go and you will be grand

For me Wade or Lewis are the two who can do it this year if Taylor doesn't.
For all Adrian Lewis' faults, I have felt for a long time that he has a World title in him - if he can just focus on himself and not get rattled, he has the game to beat anyone on his day.
Wade is a class act, ( and by all accounts is getting VERY friendly with Helen Chamberlain who is no longer wearing her engagement ring from the gutairist from Level 42 - is this a gossip forum ? ), so if he can hit the bullseye there, why can't he do it at the Ally Pally
