Is it a coincidence that since they started to smash the spiritual source of this nation, things have started to rapidly go downhill?

Don't we all have a tree to hug?

And by the way, the M3 is going through the middle of the Tara valley.

That's right the building of the m3 near (read miles away) to the hill of tara is what caused the recession and the pork thingey. Don't tell anyone but it's also resposible for global warming and 911.

    M3 ftw.

OP you seem a tad confused, everyone in AH knows the real reasons behind the state of this country are:
    - Roma
    - itinerants
    - Mary Harney
    - Poles

    FACT ;)

This is something that annoys me actually. Who says Tara is the spiritual source of our nation? Why not the GPO? Or the site where the Vikings first landed? Or the spot where humans first walked on Irish soil? Or any one of a hundred other "cultural hotspots" dotted around the country?

Wtf is a spiritual source anyway?

You are confused. The reason the country is in the state it's in is because of the lisbon No vote. Vote Yes to save all of us.

And by the way, the M3 is going through the middle of the Tara valley.

It's actually going through the Tara/Skryne valley, 20 miles from the Hill of Tara. How a road is going to destroy a Hill 20 miles away, I don't know.

If all the motorists on the new road gaze into the distance and look angrily at the hill...

I heard the arc of the covenant is buried at Tara.
Something also about Jesus Christ returning to sit on his Lia Fáil at some stage there in Tara. The Lia Fáil is currently in Scotland somewhere after being stolen back from the Queen of England. The Scots "borrowed" it from the Irish at some stage.

Oh and something about Queen Tephi and that the Irish people are the true chosen people.

    So anyway...save them tree's n stuff.

Actually the Ark of the Covernant is in Africa - check out the book by a Mr Graham Handcock - a book I've read myself.
    Example:
    http://www.grahamhancock.com/library/sats/default.htm
    http://www.arkstory.com/arkstory.html

Tara is reportedly supposed to be the convergent point of the lei-lines in the country. Between Newgrange and Tara, the area is supposed to be a focal point of White magic that subsequently effects the country and its people.
    ...there you go. :p

Those that actually have been to Tara and nearby by Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth, will know that there is many, many underground passages that run all over the place. These were built back in the Viking times so that those at the towers and monasteries in the area, could escape the rampaging invaders stealing our goods, cattle and lassies.
Its also these ancient passages that are being bulldozed and crushed.
Many yet to be still fully found and excavated.

    ...Here endeth the lesson!
