M16 Scope

Okay, I'm new to airsoft and i bought an M16 SPR .. but it don't come with a scope so i have to buy one. The only problem I have I have no idea what I'm doing. I want my scope to look like this http://www.airsoftpacific.com/ads_mod/images/ad1170_img1398_large.jpg

As i said I'm new to this so i have no idea what I'm doing .. Is that scope made up of different parts? Like a sun protector and stuff aswell?

It looks like it has a sun shade alright, its also mounted using high profile mount scope rings.

That was a quick reply! .. do any sun shades fit any scope? and do any high profile mount scope rings fit any scope? I sort of need to get a scope but have no idea what i need :P

It dependes on the diameter of the of the sight for a sun shade to fit, they usually start at 30mm then 40mm and 50mm are the most common. 99% of all scope rings will fit on the 20mm rail of the SPR, its the other side of the ring mounts were they fit around the sight you have to watch out for, most will hold a 25mm diameter sight.

Advice would be to pick the sight first then look at your mounting options.

I think i might jus buy a complete scope with rings and everything on it .. I'll only end up buying lots of parts that dont fit otherwise

ya but what I'm unsure about is if it would look good on an SPR model they seem to be very long and a small scope on a big gun would look wrong :P this is a tough one and driving me mad :eek:

If you are willing to spend that much, I would recommend the King Arms 3x tactical scope.

It has a red dot rather than a fixed cross. Which makes it easier to acquire targets.

It has a 1-3x zoom which I reckon is perfect for the ranges in airsoft.

It also looks badass.

What I linked is a 30mm scope mount (the one used on SPR's and the like) and it may work with the scope you linked - I don't know if its a 30mm diameter scope or not but someone else here may chime in with the answer.

That's a really good scope, i have one on my M16. the windage and elevation dials can be adjusted by hand instead of using a screwdriver like a lot of other scopes.,:)

Yup that should be fine with the mount I linked ya (the mounts The Master linked were 30mm too). Nice scope too, hadn't noticed it myself
