This is why being a vegetarian is great, don't have to worry (as much) about being poisoned.

unless you only eat organic f&v, you're exposing your body to hundreds of pesticides

I'm not a vegan, there's nothing in meat you can't get from drinking milk and eating potatoes, bread, cabbage, eggs, etc.

    Except satisfaction.

It's all so damn vague. It's 'very toxic' - but then someone else says that we wouldn't be eating enough for it to have an effect. Then wtf is the point in telling us all about it? If we've been eating this stuff for three months, then surely one more month won't do us that much worse. Such dumb information, scaremongering probably at best. The more I think about it, the more I think that I'll tuck into my sausages tomorrow anyhow. It'll complement my other vices nicely.

I don't wanna get into an argument here, there's a vegetarian forum for that. But the main reason I am a vegetarian isn't to avoid pesticides, bacterias, etc.

Nooooo, put them in your bin.

You'd drive everyone mad with the smell of cooking rashers coming from your chimney!

They knew it was in the feed since Monday, only confirmed its got into the meat today. Since they're not recalling beef that has had the same food I assume it doesn't always get into the meet.

Apparently it's really in the fat and not in the meat.

The muslims and jews were right. Why lord , why????????????

In other news, the price of chicken has just doubled.

    What about bacon fries?

Its a pity that this crap doesn't give an immediate sign if you've been affected. At least if you puked up whole sausages you'd know that something was up.

And, if there was any fear over the safety of any meat - the govt should have put out a warning immediately. Waiting for nearly a week to do so shows that they value the economic well being of a few farmers and retailers over the health of the general public.

I'd say those sheep outside the Dept of Agriculture are shitting themselves.

Depends on how much pig you need in something to call it a pork product? Is .1% enough??

I've eaten rather a lot of pork in the intervening period between Monday and today, lovely.

I also have at least a tenners worth of it in the fridge/freezer atm - not going to 'destroy' that until the FSAI can tell me where I'm getting refunded for it.
