Do all boardsies have the same accent in your head?

right, ive made myself quite conscious of this now so when im reading posts for the next day everyone gets to have a generic country accent...unless there are any requests.

I hear Victor Meldew when I read Degsy's posts, Paul Hogan when I read Xavi and Ross O'Carroll-Kelly loike when I read Javaboy's.

Well when reading , l read words , not accents .
So my " inner voice " as you put it , would come across how I sound , not how a different nationality would sound.:)

Not accents, but I do have voices in mind when I read posts by certain posters.

Few examples:

Karoma = Bishop Brennan
Monkeyfudge = The Monarch
Terry = Rab C. Nesbit
DeVore = Russel Crowe in Gladiator
Almighty Cushion = Jack Lemon
Run to da hills = Woody Allen
Dudess = Dr. Girlfriend
Oscar Bravo = Ray Liotta
Beruthiel = Ronny Cox (It's mainly her demeanor)

There's loads more but I can't think of them right now.

I wonder does anyone have a voice in mind for me? I remember talking about some people about who would play who in a boards movie, and it was suggested Brad Dourif to play me, someone commenting about how that's exactly how they imagined me.

Xavi and Javaboy are both from the badlands of Dublin 15. I wouldn't have survived school if I talked like Ross O'Carroll-Kelly.

I know... in your case, though, I think it's the coffee-based user id, Grodon Gecko in the avatar *cough* yuppie *cough* and your occasional sarky (but entertaining) rebukes.

In Xavi's case, I think it's because I can also picture him ****ting in a hole in the outback.

IkkyPoo sounds like chuckie off rugrats...cant get over the avatars!! without an avatar I just read posts in my mind in my own accent or in david mitchells voice, even though i sound nothing like him!!! (when i wrote this i was thinking in his accent and way of speaking)!!

I'm gonna have to start scumbagging up my posts a bit so. Maybe ditch the avatar too. The username is not coffee based though but it's probably better if people continue to believe it is.

All mods automatically get a Belfast accent attached to them for me for some reason, sorry, but I can't help it, I don't know why this happens

Condescending/self righteous posters get Dublin Southside accents.

Those posters I know who are gay will automatically get camp voices.

I read a lot of comics as a kid and even up to a few years ago enjoyed the likes of The Preacher comic book series so would always associate accents/voices with different people in the comics, suppose the same has carried across to forums here and elsewhere.

Internally, I hear:

Dudess and looptheloop as quiet aunties or schoolteachers.
The female pi mods (B + T?) as Cate Blanchett's character in Lord of the Rings.
Pighead, Almighty Cushion and sharpshooterH all have an eccentric quality in their voices when I hear them in my head.
snyper sounds like a drooling lech.
Degsy sounds like a shouting old man.
Mairt sounds like somebody on edge, ready to kick somebody's ass in any second.
Sea Devils sounds American.

Everyone else sounds/reads like a bogger from Galway, like me.

i dont really hear accents, but what does happen is i imagine the physical appearance or lifestyle of some of the posters.
for instance some (not all) of the female mods, in my head are fairly heavy and not so attractive. the more they mouth off the worse i imagine them. i seem to have it in my head that they dont have much else going on in their lives and love to lord it over whatever forums they're modding.
some of the male mods in my mind are fairly nerdy, maybe computer obsessed, into action figures, goths etc. again not a lot going on and love the supposed power of modding a forum.
the same applies to some of the more vocal non mod posters.
i have to say though that there are people i imagine to be fairly cool in person. maybe they hinted at an album they were listening to, a book or film, a trip they took, or just funny posts etc. and i thought to myself i'd buy that fella/female a pint if i met them.
obviously this is an exaggeration of how thing are but for whatever reason thats what i see when reading posts from certain posters

so to answer the op's question no i don't hear accents
