Might seem like an odd request, but I'm looking for some recommendations of films which are almost entirely set in the same place or room. I've liked the ones I've seen :pac:

    Some examples:
    12 Angry Men
    Cube
    Phone Booth
    Jim Henson's The Cube

The majority of Hard Candy takes place inside one apartment.

Off the top of my head.
    The Hole
    Haunted Mansion
    Psycho
    The Breakfast Club
    Pans Labrynth
    The Orphanage

    Lots of horrors id say.

I recommend all of the following:

'Tape'. The entire movie is literally set in one motel room.
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0275719/

'Cube' is another one. Takes place in a maze/prison made up of rooms that are all exactly the same in construction. ie it's pretty much shot in the one single location for all intents and purposes.
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0123755/

Finally 'Treed Murray'. Doesn't take place in a room but the entire movie does take place in (and under) a tree.

It's amazing how a made-for-tv (I think) low-budget movie like Man From Earth is up there with the likes of Rear Window, 12 Angry Men etc.

    It's a fantastic movie though.

For films the best example off hand would be Downfall, most of it takes place in the same Bunker

Best I've seen of this has to be the Babylon5 Season 4 Episode 18, 'Intersections in Real Time', the whole episode involves 2 people, in a plain, dark, square room.

Dogville? Well, technically it's set in a whole town but if you've seen it you'll catch my drift..

I was thinking of Glengarry Glen Ross too, but I can't quite remember if that's true of the film version. I know the stage play has two acts, set in a restaurant, then in the office. Other films based on plays could be good examples e.g. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Death and the Maiden, The Odd Couple - though I think these have some external scenes because, well, it's film.

You could argue that The Matrix takes place within a space even smaller than one room... one head. :pac:

Apart from the first 15-20 mins where Janet Leigh's travelling across an entire state! :D

Another Hitchcock - Lifeboat, was set entirely in , yes you've guessed it, the lifeboat

Most of Hitchcock's Dial M for Murder was set in the one apartment, apart from when
Grace Kelly is in "court" near the end, which was probably a toilet or something because we never actually see anything except her and the Judge's voice
