Start laptop in Safe Networking mode

Hey there, I was wondering if anyone can be of assistance. My McAfee has been acting up - had to un-install it and now it wont install from their website. Long story, however I was advised to shutdown and reboot and press hold and F8. i believe this brings up a system menu to do want I want. Is this correct hold (what key…

Hey there,

I was wondering if anyone can be of assistance.

instead of holding down the F8 key, just keep tapping on it as the pc boots up, it shouldnt get as far as the microsoft logo before the menu opens
