viaccess bad picture samsung television

    I being using the viaccess card plugged into the side on television
    for a while now but lately the picture is getting broken up

    I thought is was the signal strength so I got a new aerial
    I am now getting a 83 percent signal strength.

    what happening is :
    I switch on the television tune into DTV.
    The picture is excellent then around 25 minutes later the picture starts to break up.

    I also noticed when switching channels on DTV using the viacess card
    I would lose picture and only have sound
    see the attached pictures

    Anybody know what going on .is the viacess card broken

    Normally you would need 90-100% Quality to get a solid picture but as the trial is only testing I would ignore bad signals until full launch next year.

    I used to get 90% signal quality now only 10% from 3 rock so no pictures now at all.

    I think those Combo MPEG4 -> MPEG2 conversion adaptors / CAMs run too hot. If you take out adaptor and cool it quickly (hairdryer / heater on Cold) and put it in and the picture returns, then it is heat.

    Get a decent PVR setbox closer or after to Launch. Better quality picture too even via SCART, even if not using HDMI.


    55% quality should be enough, depending of FEC and SetBox.
