Invalid Postcode on Freesat

I bought a Humax Foxsat HD Freesat box in Birmingham at the weekend. When I tried to set it up, I followed the instructions and entered a postcode. It said the postcode was invalid. So I tried six different postcodes and got the 'invalid' message each time.
I know that the postcodes I entered are correct, but they still wouldn't work.
I already have a similar box in another room which works perfectly with a W1 1AA (central London) postcode. I even swapped the boxes, but no joy.
I can manually tune in the channels (non-freesat mode),
Can anybody help? I hate to think I might have a dodgy box.
    Thanks.

Check your post codes! W1 1AA is no longer a post code.

Tried using that BBC postcode (and a few other new ones), and all to no avail. I just can't get past the 'Invalid Postcode' problem. Is this a first??

Royal Mail has online database that gives postcodes for part of address.

W12 7RJ will give you Freesat. It's the postcode of the Television Centre. Sadly the postcode won't give you access to the BBC Ringmain ;)

Did you try it as one six digit code without the space?

I tried several postcodes (all legitimate, spaces where appropriate), but no joy. I can get non-freesat mode ok, but this means I have no red button access, no ITV HD and a messy EPG.
Even took the box to my neighbour's house, strength and quality signal quite high, but same postcode problem - nothing works!!
Anybody know if I can fix this issue? Tried the 'factory reset', but no change.
    Thanks.

Yeah, I posted on Digital spy also, as I couldn't find any information on the web. Looks like it is a dodgy box (just my luck). I sent a mail to Humax earlier to see if they could help. Failing that, it will be non-Freesat mode forever:mad:.
Anyway, if anyone has any other suggestions, I'm all ears.
    Many thanks.
