Not a regular user of the M50 but have to drive to and from
the airport and it's the quickest route for me.

Can I pay the toll in advance by buying a pass in a garage or somewhere or do I have to wait for notification and pay online?

I'm an infrequent user so I signed up at http://eflow.ie/ for a car registration account.

Clocks the car by car reg everytime you pass through the toll and your credit card gets charged once a month.

Some shops will take payment afterwards, look out for the Payzone signs; there is about 2,000 of them nationwide and there is one in the airport. Remember to pay by 8PM the following day or the toll rises from €3.
