Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Fawlty Towers star Andrew Sachs is being lined up to join the cast of Coronation Street.
    The actor, who has been in the headlines recently over the Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand prank call scandal, is in talks to appear in the ITV soap next year.
    The Daily Mirror reports that Sachs will play the brother of busy-body Norris Cole, who works alongside Rita in The Kabin.
    A Coronation Street spokesperson said: "We first started working on a possible character for Andrew Sachs six months ago after learning that he was interested in joining the show.
    “This was brought to our attention by Malcolm Hebden who plays Norris Cole. We have been in discussions with Andrew about the proposed storyline which would be seen on screen some time next year."
    Andrew Sachs recently revived the Fawlty Towers character Manuel at a birthday celebration for Prince Charles. His most recent high-profile TV acting role was playing a paedophile in The Bill.

    So after BBC were the villians, ITV now are the Heroes

    I dont watch the show but hopefully people can watch him without think about his Manuel character.

    I think that sounds like an excellent character - Norris is brill so it will be great to see what his brother is like.

    I think Corrie is brilliant for really believable and entertaining characters - the new character Graeme is class - so Coronation St (if you know what I mean).

    The whole thing was a sham from the beginning and I can't believe how mnay were fooled.

    Brand - got himself out of his BBC contract which he was hating anyway as not only was he overly controlled for his liking, but it was stopping him from accepting LA movie offers.

    Ross- will end up being paid more, as Sky have been trying to lure him away to TV. Ross is tied in to the BBC and prevented from negotiating elsewhere - a suspension allows him to talk to other media.

    Georgina - Got her porno tape re-released, a tell-all in the Sun, Max Clifford as manager and lots of paid posts elsewhere.

    And now, Sachs, who just so happens to be friends with the very man who broke the story on behalf of the grand-daughter, gets a TV spot.
    I'm glad cos I get the tenner I bet in work that he'd be on our screens soon.

    The whole thing was a farce from beginning to end and Max Clifford is sitting giggling at the public's predictable stupidity.
    Remember too that out of all those complaints, only 2 had actually heard the show go out!
