Searching bell-shaped see-through umbrella

I only have the rather cryptic description of an umbrella that a friend is searching. He saw quite a few of those but was to shy to ask, that lazy moron

Well, it's said to be a see-through umbrella and it's form seems to be similar to a bell. At least he described that it offers protection from the side too. Any idea what he is looking for and where to get it?

Thank you sueme, I guess that's what he is looking for (and to remain fair to him - it's probably for his mother

). And it seems that even his description was better than expected, regarding the shops naming.
