I sent an e-mail to my local TD

I sent an e-mail to him explaining my outrage over the increase in third-level education fees.

He replied with what I can only assume is a copy+paste from a pre-written letter about education for all unhappy voters. It was all about second level education, and not one mention about third level education even though that is all I talked about in my e-mail.

    Disappointing.

I've emailed a local councillor before and got a human reply.

Then again, he is from FG...

I've e-mailed Gary Busey requesting a dinner meeting with him.

He is yet to reply :(

Go to meet him personally. I met mine there a while ago and he was great. Labour, ftw.

I emailed my TD and he sent a reply asking if I could help him get 30 million out of a Nigerian bank account. He said that I would be suitably rewarded. I'm thinking about it.

Thats really terrible OP, You might as well vent on him and tell him that your disappointed to received a template of a letter from a related issue. It might embarrass him enough to reply to double check which template he is using.

Reply to him with an open reply, copying in the email addresses of multiple newspapers.

That'll sure as hell piss him of at least for being lazy and not caring.

I dont think I could have dinner with him. He'd spend the whole time doing silly magic tricks and talking about his sexy life with Debbie Magee.

    Hint for OP:

I wrote a letter to my local TD a few years ago. I got a very personal response, and he updated me a few weeks later on the outcome, and he sent me a christmas card.

    But he was Fine Gael.

Does anyone ever expect a straight answer from a politician? You might get one face-to-face in a sound-proof bunker, but they would deny it afterwards.

    I just sent one:

    Dear Michael,

I can only assume by your response that you did not read my e-mail carefully, or at all. So I have attached it again below, along with a copy of your reply. If you do read it, you will see that my e-mail was not about education cuts in general, but solely about University fees....in which you did not make one reference to in the e-mail that you, or someone, went through the trouble of copying and pasting. I'm sure you're a busy man these days, with the Dail adjourning early recently because they felt they had nothing left to discuss. I'm sure you were using this time well to do what you are paid to do (which, I believe, is to represent your constituents).

I hope it is noted that I will be saving a copy of your disappointing reply, and will dedicate my time (something which you only seem to have when you think voters are looking) closer to the next general election to making this e-mail available to anyone who believes you are dedicated to serving the best interests of the people in North County Dublin.

I look forward to you sending me on the correct e-mail that should have been copied and pasted to me, instead of one I assume was written for teachers.

    Your friendly neighborhood voter,
    Mark

I would have thought getting re-elected would have been number 1.

Yeah there was a little bit at the end of the e-mail he sent me saying that my e-mail address has been added to their records. Possibly so they can send me lovely Christmas cards too.

Mark200, you need to confuse him with internet (lolcat) speak so that when whomever reads it gets so confused that they will need to contact you personally so you can translate.

    Something along the lines of

    Dear Michael,
