The Atlantic shop in the Royal Liver Retail Park off the Naas Road / Kylemore Road is closing down and almost all stock has between 20% - 30% off some stuff even up to 50 %. Bought a load of low energy light bulbs, kitchen stuff, paint etc - spent €140 - saved over €50 according to the receipt.

I was in there today - very little to be had, most things are 20-25% off - a few 50% off.

I'd say they are consolidating - both Woodies and Atlantic are owned by the Grafton Group (Chadwicks) and I suppose with the downtown they have too many stores - in the case of the Atlantic in Bluebell there's a Woodies accross the road in the old Courts premises - although it's a b*&^h to get into.

Yep - Atlantic & Woodies are one of the same. I believe the better Atlantic stores will be rebranded Woodies and where there is an overlap the atlantic store will be closed.
