iPhone persona

Hi guys,

I have an iPhone since around May this year. A friend bought one last week and today asked me if people look at me differently since I got one. I instantly knew what he was talking about. We are not the kind of guys to flaunt things like that around, but he said that he was getting nasty looks from people.

I noticed that too, even if I was changing a song or something people just stare at me, but not in the "your sexy kind of way

Anyone found themselves feeling like this towards iPhone owners or anyone ever felt like this because they have an iPhone?

and their strange faces are probably as a result of them trying to work out a way of robbing it..

It's not that I care, I like my phone, the reason is that everyone I know that has one has remarked on this. I'm not looking to start up iphone's anonymous or anything, just wondering how common it was.

You should have an iPhone iPride iParade, where you and your friends (who seemingly have nothing else to talk about) can have a wonderful time showing that you're not that different to the rest of us saps without iPhones while marching for your civil rights.

Oppression is an ugly thing, and it's very brave of you to speak out against these cruel strangers and their prying, judgemental eyes. Hare krishna my brother, you're fighting the last taboo left in our "advanced" western society: unjustified hate towards iPhone owners. March on with the love of freedom and free expression in your heart.

(Or you could just ignore the strangers, it's up to you)

Well, since August I've been dumped, my house burned down, then my car burned down, then my dog burned down, I lost my job (also the office burned down). Coincidentally, I also got an iPhone in August. It all makes sense now!

I reckon the OP is the type of iPhone user who draws attention to himself, giggling insanely as he swipes his finger across the screen to reveal more from the Onion, tutt-tutting as he pinches the screen to read a story about George Bush's tax cuts; and occasionally declaiming to the people on the train that the New York Times is dead right about Obama.

Gives the rest of us a bad name.

I'm the same. Have seen a few idiots waving them around like the aforementioned monkey.

No-one gives a shite what phone you have, they do care if you try to show it off all the time as if it means anything.
