I feel ever so let down by the Quantum of Solace.
I concur. End scene in the desert was very meh.

Exceedingly meh. Without turning this thread into a "why the new bond sucked/how it could be better" I think Quantum of Solace just doesnt fit in as a Bond film. The franchise was in need of a refresh so after the amazingness of Casino Royale I think they can have a miss of a film.

The next one better be back on form though.

Terribly short film too.. Read somewhere earlier that it was the first bond film under 2hours long.

It seems he was called R for the world was not enough, but was promoted to Q for later films.

Ha! The LHC one, yeah? I opened the science page and my first thought was "...I don't remember writing that."

I have no idea how it happened, blame Luke.

That's the one, yeah! Jeez boardsies are everywhere... Luke rang to apologise when he realised, and then I felt bad for being grumpy about it!

TWINE was the film where the original Q (Desmond Llewelyn) retired and John Cleese got promoted in his place.

****ing Red Alert 3 needs to go online to verify I own the game (which I bloody well do) except it can't connect from behind my college proxy...ffs. Why must all the nonsense they bring in to stop game piracy end up doing nothing but annoying those who've actually bought the stuff.

I took Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off last week. Was nice to be free again to wander aimlessly during the day.

Does not appear to be. The game literally won't open until its authenticated. I'll have a more thorough look around now to see if I can get around the problem. Otherwise I might just wander around town until I pick up a signal, authenticate it, and then come back home.
