As The Economist pointed out, some spambots target university servers. However, if the email was addressing you by name then that's a more serious issue [I got a spam email using my full name to my TCD address..]

My friend from UL rang me at 1:15 this morning drunk. I was asleep. I had been out the night before until 4am and I had one of the worst hangovers i've had in my life.

Oh and I read Moore McDowells pathetic defense of the government's budget in the Irish Times on Friday. What a f***ing arrogant twat. Same goes for his brother and the PD's.

It's stuff from UCD Ents and Tripod, not the usual Cialis/Viagra stuff, which is why I'd think it very unlikely to be due to blanket spam mailings. None of it has mentioned my name so far though.

Oddly enough i got a ucd ents email myself the other day. Could certainly be related. I defos never gave my email address to anything to do with ucd.

I heard someone else mention that they'd got emails from UCD Ents too, when I was waiting at the bus stop outside Trinity..
