    why?

    It cant have any advantage over a p90?

    Infact it's got about the same length barrel and is twice as long

    Does it still also take stanag mags? The mag well is still there?


    Edit: just read a bit more, ok, so it's a replacement upper for armalites... i still dont get it.

    looks to be geared at the civillian market , if thats the case i can see the practicallity of the design, Ps90 isnt to common and is considered an smg, this is basically an ar15 rifle that can take a higher calibur round
    that said they couldve done that differently without somthing silly looking

    Maybe its just an armalite re-designed to be used with hostage situations, being that its a lower powered round yet stilll capable of penatrating armour.,

    It may be legal for the civilian market. At least it looks better than that civilianized long-barrel PS90, which should have been strangled at birth.

    Yes, the lower receiver is the "licensed" part of the gun under US rules. So you don't need to relicense it, just retrofit the upper & barrel.

    Even I can figure that much out by reading the installation guide. Shocking, I know... :)

    i think it look kinda good, bit diffrent to the norm,
    whats the point?

    in RS the 57 round has better penetration and given that the majority of SWAT / Army units esp in the states will have expereince with the M4 / M16 platform they should be fairly familar with the lay out, gripping etc
