Do Ryanair get more expensive closer to flight date?

I might want to fly with Ryanair next weekend, but I'm not sure yet so can't book it. Do they just get more expensive closer to the date of the flight? The prices today are double what they were yesterday - do they do this randomly or are they likely to keep getting more expensive?

I know sites like lastminute.com operate on the basis that airlines want to fill their flights and sell off the last tickets cheaply, but I feel this won't be the same for Ryanair...

    +1

€200+ excluding charges would not be uncommon for a same day/next day flight with them.

    Yup.
You'd be better off going on aer lingus if it's a last minute flight you want as at least you get a seat assignment.

In some cases you'd be better off booking business class as it might be cheaper

Thanks guys. I guess that's flying next weekend out of the question so! Unfortunately Ryanair are the only airline that do the route I need :(.

Ryanair are famous for having flight prices that vary depending on which way the wind is blowing at the time your making your booking. You might log on one minute to find a particular price and log on to their website the next and find a totally different price for the same flight. The only advice I have is to always make sure you delete your cookies before logging on for a second time because I've found that the cheapest prices are always offered to the person logging on to their website for the first time.
