The java on my computer does not seem to work when i access sites that need it meaning i cant access certain things on the net.

I have downloaded it but it still does not seem to work.

Any suggestions?

Which version of Java are you installing?

Looks fine.

Are you using Internet Explorer?

Open up "internet options" (something like tools -> internet options) then click advanced and scroll down to the java section. Is there a tick in the box?

If you put a tick in the box, press ok-ok-ok all the way back until you are at your normal internet explorer window, and then close internet explorer and re-open it.

By "restart" they mean close and re-open internet explorer.
