Cheapest way to call South Africa from a mobile?

My brother is out in south africa, He's got no skype where he is so they only way of contact is via mobile...

Which network would work out the chepest for me to call him and for him to recieve a call..? (I can post him a sim, he's already on Meteor)

Toss up between Vodafone and 02 too be honest!

These are only prepaid. what network you on at the minute?

If he buys a South African sim here are the costs

Vodafone

15 cent too landlines
30 cent to mob
15 cent texts

Probably cheaper for him to use a local SIM, roaming rates are not good.

Vodafone seems the cheapest, Free vodafone to vodafone calls so free for me to call and 79cent for the bro to recieve with Vodafone passport.
