Maybe, maybe not - Tesco Galway had tomtom one for 80 last week, seems like they were doing some sort of an offer..

OP, can you call/text your friend and see if if this is a nationwide offer.

Considering they works there, they should be able to provide a response, and help fellow Boardsies avoid needless trips to Tescos all over the country.

If I were at all sceptical, it would almost look like that there are a few posts going up recently that for some reason have people making unnecessary trips to areas of business, which may or may not result in them actually buying something other than that which they went in to buy even if it was or was not there to begin with.

But then again, I'm not sceptical, so I don't even believe the above statement.:D

Nothing in Galway either. These satnavs were obviously only available in Nenagh and as they are sold out this thread is dead and should be closed.

None for 48 in galway, but they have a tomtom one and a typhoon for bout 90 each. Not sure how cheap that is but still seems quite cheap.
That was bout 11 this morning, they were on a shelf behind the counter.

Got me going for a few minutes though, even though I have said recently I would never get one, but at that price you could pass it up really. One day they'll be that cheap, not sure if I'll still be driving though.

Saw the posting late last night,found the phone number for Tesco Nenagh,saw that they opened at 8am this morning and phoned them at approx 8:30 am,spoke to a very polite lady in customer services and asked her did they have the Garmin Nuvi 250 in stock and at what price,she said they had 1 remaining,she scanned it,the price came up at 49 euro,I asked her could she reserve it for me,"no problem" she said.Offered my credit card details,"not neccessary" she said.She took my mobile number,I drove the 40 odd miles to Nenagh and collected my Garmin Nuvi 250 at approx 11am.What a bargain.Thanks Pebbles 21

48 as said, texted a mate in Tipp and he rang them, they had two left but both spoken for. They had the Tom Toms too. Tesco in Bloomfields had the Tom Toms as well.
