Why do nerds love taekwondo?

    im a big fan of the UFC but i have noticed for the last few years that nerds seem to have this major attraction to taekwondo. why?

    i did tae kwon do for a while, wouldn't say most of them were nerds.... actually moving on from Khannie, most of my club were female :)

    who said there was anything wrong with it? im not saying there is anything wrong with alot of nerds doing taekwondo im wondering why this is? if you dont have an answer please stop replying

    they think being involved in combat sports will enable to beat up the kids who bullied them in their childhood. i used to work the doors in college with 2 such nerds. both talked a great game about how skilled in martial arts they were AND IN SWORDS (nerds also love swords) but anytine anything kicked off they were the most useless clowns around. give me an overwieght bals bouncer anyday before those head wrecking tkd nerds

    lol i think I know the guy you're talking about there.

    imo being a good bouncer has very little to do with being good at martial arts and not even that much do to with being good at fighting. there are tonnes of nerds in all martial arts.

    I think you'll find you're more confronted by 'A' nerd rather than surrounded by them, he is a rather big fellow so thats probably you're reasoning. Funny he has a TKD background also and is a closet admirer of leg locks, very nerdy things that they are! :D
