    Hello... I was thinking of joining a self defense class or something similar, both for fitness/exercise and for the practical reason...

    Krav Maga stood out in my mind since I saw human weapon but there is no class locally available... so is there any alternative? I did a bit of karate but found it fairly slow and not so useful (maybe i wasn't doing it right :P).

    (i also searched google and found nothing)

    If anyone could suggest anything, it would be nice... thanks.
