BA in Contemporary Culture and Society

Hey, I'm thinking about putting this on my CAO this February. I was just wondering can any current or previous students give me an insight into the course. I did use search but, the results wore not very good.

I'm doing it at the moment, going into my second year. It's a pretty good course, I like it. It's got a good amount of variation with the modules you can pick, and from my experience its alot more focused than say and Arts degree. 2nd year subjects are pretty interesting, a few law modules and languages.

Are the language modules compulsory?

No theyre not. You can take Spanish, German, Japanese and Chinese from a beginners level, but can only take French at an intermediate level, which I found quite annoying. Otherwise you can take Linguistics, which I did which was very complicated, but very interesting.

You must enjoy the recession, because you're guaranteeing yourself long-term unemployment. I give this course six thumbs down.

Do you do it? I can see plenty need for employment with this, its very broad, maybe if you're a moany **** like yourself you'd probably see the bad side of things.
