Blackberry 8800 not picking up basic gsm

Hi there, Anyone have any idea when i drop out of edge it drops straight to SOS instead of GSM or gprs. I have tried the sim in another phone and it gets full bars on an old normal ready to go handset. Anyone know the setting or how I prevent this? or is it a case of handset back to o2 to sort out? Cheers

Sounds like your radio is bust - Give O2 a call on it to check and authorise a repair.
