Hi all, very few posts made across all of boards so forgive me if this should be on another forum.

I'm trying to buy a JVC camcorder, model GR-DF470. Have ordered and had to cancel with both www.cam-ireland.com & www.computeruniverse.net as they couldn't the camera from their supplier. Was costing about 400 inc. shipping.

With www.purelygadgets.co.uk it'll cost about 500 inc. shipping + 512MB SD card + 5 pack of Sony tapes. Not bad given the cheapest I've seen it in town is 650 in Peats.

Problem is purelygadgets only accept bank transfer for international orders so I'm slightly nervous of that.

Any stories of your experience with purelygadgets would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

Just a note to point out I went with purelygadgets in the end and the service was excellent all round. I received the camera 2 working days after transfering the cash, it was packaged excellently and everything was as promised.

So if you're looking for a good value supplier for a more expensive purchase I can recommend purelygadgets based on this one experience.

apologies for the bump, but I read this review and went with it....
I placed a order with them for two items they'd listed in stock. After 2 business days I mailed them checking everything was ok, thinking it was a bit strange the items had not been shipped. I was told everything was fine with my order, it was going through stages including "quality control", two days later I checked again, they suggested they were busy and the item I ordered was in demand, but my order would ship soon, the items were definitely in stock. I canceled my order after 9 days and received an apology suggesting the delay had been with a supplier... it appears they didn't have the items in stock at all...
