Help needed: Soundproof rooms for rent in Dublin for singing practice?

Does anyone know of anywhere in Dublin that rents out rooms that are soundproof for singing-practice purposes? There are obviously loads of soundproof rooms available fully equipped with instruments and equipment, but I'm looking for just a soundproof room without any of the equipment, in the hope that it costs less than a fully-equipped room.

    Thanks! :)

Sorry if this sounds ignorant or anything as its not meant that way, but if you don't need any equipment could you not just sing around your house?

Singing practice often requires making lots of strange sounds, and it can get quite loud... maybe eskimo's housemates and neighbours are sick of the noise! ;)

Good luck with the hunt eskimo, maybe if you can't find an empty room there might be a room with just a piano or something?

There are sound proofing curtains and such for sale on thomann and musicstore that might suit your purposes. There's even a dedicated sound proofed vocal booth you can buy.

They're all fairly expensive but might work out better in the long run. Worth having a look anyway.

This is the analogy I think describes the situation best... Trying to train to be a singer in your house is like trying to train to run a marathon in your house.

Unless you live on your own in a detached house surrounded by a field, there will always be people who can hear you, either out on the street, or in the next room, or downstairs, or else in the neighbour's house on either side. And it's impossible to practice singing when you're aware that people can hear you, because you don't feel very free to make mistakes, and you feel restricted and self-conscious. It just does not work. You need to be able to sing at the top of your voice, with all your strength and feel comfortable making an infinite amount of mistakes. When people can hear you, you cannot do this.

I want access to a sound-proof room. It's very expensive to make a soundproof room in your own house. And most soundproof rooms which are available to rent come with lots of musical equipment and this drives up the price dramatically, which I can't afford.

So that's why I need a soundproof room with no equipment in it.

Thanks for the words of wisdom so far! :) Keep 'em coming!

I can rent you a booth in my studio in Camden street from time to time if you like.
