I've heard there is a 4 year veterinary course in Hungary that is very popular and well respected throughout Europe. It's conducted through english and seems to be an option for those who did not get the points for veterinary science in Ireland. We had a german student come over here, she did her leaving cert here, did quite well and went to do that course in Budapest. It's meant to be very good and alot of hard work... not sure how you get into it though.
