I have often contemplated this and i believe it would be good.

Why do we spend our lives running after money?

Well that would mean everyone would have to run off into the woods catchin and growin their own food. Or are you talking about some sort of communist ideals?

Cuz we need it as currency in exchange for goods and services. We'd be very limited (and poor) if we didn't seek it. The only way we wouldn't need money is if it wasn't our currency, but then something else would be.

Without money, we'd have to barter. Money is an advanced form of bartering, me thinks, and thus is better. Think about it: someone who works in a teleworking job... wtf?

Dude, f**k off back to whichever communist hole you came from, and stay there. Oh, wait a mo, they had money in communist Russia, it was just worth f**k all, wasn't it?

    =-=

    Actually, just shut up.

Well a system were there was no "central bank" loaning us a currency, forming a perpetual debt, would appeal to me.

    There will always be money.
We use the paper stuff at the moment. If it goes tits up, we'll use food and useful stuff. Nuts maybe and precious metals and stones. Just like the good aul days.

This paper stuff mat be fairly feckin worthless in about 6 or 7 years if things stay going as they are.

That's a real half baked thought. A capalist society isn't much better than any other but without any kind of ecenomic infrastructure we'd all be much worse off, even the people on the **** end of things. It's crude, it gives to the rich and pisses on the poor but it works.

A world without money ... would give people nothing to complain about (i.e no money to go boozing, no money to smoke, no money to buy erm ... pleasure (if you are into that type of thing)).

I like your style of thinking. We are a child race though so we will be chasing after money for a while yet before we evolve.

If anyone is sick of their money and wants to get rid of it I'll be a real nice guy and perform the arduos task of taking it off your hands.

Just PM me your bank details and we'll take it from there..

A few weeks ago, I packed a small haversack, threw a load of stuff in it and went up to the Dublin Mountains and walked for miles into the middle of nowhere, no traffic, no shops, no ATM machines, just me, my dog and some provisions. I lit myself a fire and cooked my grub and for the first time I'd say in year, I was completely relaxed... I can see the point of the OP, if I could live a life like that, I'd swop... Did you ever see the film "The Village"???
