Hire a barge for a Party for one evening?

Does anybody know if its possible to hire a barge/or boat of some sort for an evening? Its my birthday in January (Early I know BUT I'm heading to Oz for a couple of months and return days before my bday!) and I was told that you can hire a barge on the Canal for the evenng?? Has anybody heard about being able to do this?…

Yeah there's the Party Barge, Leaves from Grand Canal St. Went to a party on it once for a friends work do. Was so much fun. They even had a DJ on it which is mad cause its not exactly huge. Would highly recommend it.
