As in Chocolate Chip: far too busy. Or a more modern example, ACU: looks ok, doesn't work.

I did. Where the hell are you going to find that terrain in Ireland? First off, to obtain a scrubland/arid environ in which multicam works efficiently in, you'd need a hot climate. Which means you need to have the sun occasionally shine on the area. I don't know if you looked at the news lately, but we're f***ing sinking. It's wetsuits we need, not multicam.

the first and last are very typical of what youd find in hrta or even moreso in gtac.,

Lads, lads. No matter what the manufacturers claim, there's no such thing as a camo that's perfect everywhere.

I think Flecktarn looks awful, but it works in the places it was designed for. The Swiss alpine camo even includes red :eek: so it's horses for courses. Even ACU, which I love to slag, works ok in grey rocky terrain.

LOL, more than a grain of truth there, Dex. Gandalf got in with a photo about that earlier in the (alleged) summer.

So, in really specific situations, if you can find something that looks exactly like your camo (American scrub, rocky desert and cheap furniture) in the right kind of light and stay very still, it works a bit. I'd be worried that you'll believe just about anything the admen tell you, Richie...

In HRTA after an hour on a good wet day everyone looks like a walking mudpile anyway. I seem to remember that yourself and Dex were happily preaching a few months ago to the n00bs among us that camo was just 'to fit in and look like everyone else'?

See, children, when people spend enough money on stuff like camo, they'll come with all sorts of justifications for it...

absolutely kev, blending in is 80% concealment after all., once ya get that right camo only serves to give you an added benefit.,

I've been at HRTA the last 6 saturdays and not one person has even seen me there.

+1 for bright orange leggings and luminous green hoodies as camo.
